The 2015 Nissan Versa Note SR is not by any means a fast car but it is one of the better city cars thanks to its decent fuel consumption, good interior comfort and also nice looks. The 2015 Nissan Versa Note SR will get that city car a bit further by adding a few sporty features to it which will include improvements to the design of the car, a slightly different interior but unfortunately, the same old engine which even though is fine for city driving, it lacks any kind of power for highway driving.
Price of the 2015 Nissan Versa Note SR
The price of this new and improved 2015 Nissan Versa Note SR is going to be hovering around the 15.000 dollars mark which basically means it is actually 2500 dollars more expensive than the standard car. Let’s see though if it will be worth the extra money. Just take into account that the actual car will be launched by the end of this year in the US.
2015 Nissan Versa Note SR Engine
Let’s start with the engine compartment because Nissan didn’t make any changes to it so far. The 2015 Nissan Versa Note SR will get the same old 1.6 liter aspirated petrol engine which will offer up to 109 horsepower and 107 lb-ft of torque which may seem enough for the city but when coupled with the front wheel drive CVT gearbox, the car seems really sluggish. This is due to the fact that the CVT requires you to really push that engine in order to make the car move so the actual result is a lot of noise and not much go. Because of this, the car will hit 60 MPH in 10 seconds and up to a maximum top speed of 118 miles per hour. Again, this may seem enough for the city but take into account the car really needs to be pushed in order to achieve these numbers.
The 2015 Nissan Versa Note SR fuel consumption on the other hand is a bit better being able to average 29 MPG in the city and around 40 MPG on the highway.
On the interior, the 2015 Nissan Versa Note SR received a couple of different upgrades. Firstly, the old steering wheel has been replaced with one inspired by that of the 379Z, so it is a bit smaller and has the controls of the audio system on it. On top of that, a new color option has been made available for an extra 660$ which will also include satellite navigation and a new climate control system.
Its exterior on the other hand received a few more upgrades. It now sits on different 16 inch alloys with low rolling resistance tires, new mirrors with integrated turn signals and also a new body kit which has a new front and rear bumper as well as a new rear spoiler, all of which make for a slightly sportier look.
