The current Titan has been on the market since the early 2003 and in the meantime it didn’t received any major updates. I know you all know that rule that if its not broken, don’t fix it but currently its main competitors are offering much better powertrains, nicer interiors and also a lot more options that will make the life of their passengers much better.
The 2015 Nissan Titan is going to receive a well deserved facelift which will alter its looks slightly, it will give it a new engine which has been announced a few years back but it never made it to production until now and an improved interior that is going to give the Titan and its passengers a very nice boost.
2015 Nissan Titan Price
The base price for 2015 Nissan Titan has always been hovering the 30.000 dollars price point and it is likely to remain the same even though its main competitors are nearly 50% cheaper in certain specs. However, Nissan is offering a much better engine than its competitors, a nicer interior and also better off-road capability thanks to the standard all wheel drive system.
Engine wise, the 2015 Nissan Titan will be available with two different options. The base 5.7 liter V8 will remain mostly unchanged and it will offer 320 horsepower and 385 lb-ft of torque which is still lower than its competitors. It makes up with a great sound and also very good towing ratings but falls because of its massive fuel consumption of nearly 15 MPG on average.
Nissan is planning to improve all that with a brand new engine. This 5 liter Cummins V8 diesel will be offered as a 6000 dollars options. It will offer 300 horsepower and more than 500 lb-ft of torque as well as a nearly 60% better fuel consumption of around 24 MPG on average. These will be making from this engine one of the best in its class.
The 5 speed automatic of the petrol engine won’t be available on the Cummins which is likely to get a newly developed 6 speed unit which will be stronger and easier to use. This will allow the Titan to two more than 15.000 pounds which is a class leading number.
On the interior, the 2015 Nissan Titan will be offering the same level of equipment as a medium spec truck in its class. This means you will get satellite navigation, lane departure warning, a rear view camera, an infotainment system, leather steering wheel and a premium cloth upholstery which will be dirt resistant.
Its exterior on the other hand will be quite similar to that of the current model. The only major changes will be made to 2015 Nissan Titan wheels which will get changed to bigger ones and also to its front end which will now get a different design that is set to get the car back to the present day.
